Hiking, Birding & Fishing at Poplar Grove

 

Guests can enjoy two hiking trails on the farm.

 

The Oribi trail is 10km long and you climb up and down a few mountains. There are a couple of small waterfalls to be spotted along the way. All flowing water is drinkable. Takes 5 - 6 hours.

 

The Ystervark trail is 6km long and winds along the Mooi River with a few hanging bridges crossing the river 4 times. On this rout there is only one spot with flowing, drinkable water - please do not drink the river water. Takes 3 - 4 hours.

 

Animals to be spotted: Oribi, Reedbuck, Eland, Duiker, Bush pig, Porcupines, Serval Cat, Jackal, Baboons.

 

Guests can enjoy fishing trout in the river - only two rods allowed in the river at a time. No extra costs.
